Texas Tanner Wraps up First Day of NCAA Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- AIr Force junior Texas Tanner wrapped up the opening day of action at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach on Friday, March 14. Despite fouling all three attempts in the opening round of the weight throw, Tanner will earn an Honorable Mention All-America nod from the USTFCCCA for advancing to the national meet.
Tanner will return to the Virginia Beach Sports Center tomorrow (March 15) for the finals of the shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Action is slated to begin at 5:00 p.m. (ET).
