3/2/2025 3:04:00 PM | Men's Tennis
Air Force men's tennis dropped a 4-0 contest at Weber State (6-4) Sunday afternoon at the Ogden Athletic Club in Ogden, Utah.
The Falcons were unable to get into the win column, as all three unfinished singles matches were in the third set.
Weber State opened with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the first point. The Wildcats then won at No. 4, 2 and 5 singles to clinch. Alec Fritzinger fell at No. 4, Arjun Kersten at No. 2 and Matthew Staton at No. 5.
Head coach Evan Urbina recapping the match:
"Today was a difficult challenge for the team. We lost the doubles point and all six first sets in singles. We simply have to start playing better sooner in the matches. I'm proud of how we competed, as always, but we still need to find ways to finish when we have opportunities. The guys will participate in military training this week, and then we are back on our home courts March 14 and 15. Go Falcons!"
Air Force returns to action March 14 hosting Marist and March 15 hosting Idaho State.
