Air Force Places 19th At NCAA Fencing Championships

Air Force fencing placed 19th at the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships, which ran Thurs.-Sun, March 20-23 at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track on the campus of The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa.

The Falcons tallied 23 wins on the weekend, ranking second to UC San Diego amongst MPSF programs. Notre Dame claimed the national title with 183 wins.

Junior Omar Emara, making his NCAA's debut, led the way for Air Force with a 14th-place finish in men's epee. Emara tallied 11 wins across competition on Thursday and Friday.

On the women's side, sophomore Christina Watrall and junior Ellie Kim competed for the Falcons in women's epee. Watrall, making her second NCAA appearance, placed 17th with eight wins across competition on Saturday and Sunday. Kim, making her NCAA's debut, finished 24th with four wins.

Air Force completes the NCAA portion of the 2024-25 season. The Falcons wrap up USA Fencing Competition, April 11-14 at the April NAC/Div. I Championships in Los Angeles, Calif.
