Daniel Haimes Wins ASUN Defensive Player of the Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –Air Force's Daniel Haimes and Jacksonville's Jackson Intrieri earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Lacrosse weekly awards. The honor marks a career first for Haimes.

Haimes won nine of 12 faceoffs for the Falcons in their victory against Mercer, helping Air Force secure its fourth straight ASUN Tournament berth in as many attempts. He picked up four ground balls, one of which led to an assist. Haimes has the second-best faceoff win percentage in the conference (.531).

The honor marks the Falcons' second-straight ASUN weekly award and fifth of the season.

Intrieri led the Dolphins to an 18-5 victory against the Bellarmine Knights on Friday. The attacker tallied six assists, eight points and two goals, recording a .667 shots-on-goal percentage.
