Air Force Athletics and Women's Basketball Head Coach Stacy McIntyre have agreed to a two-year contract extension through June 2029, according to an announcement on Wednesday from Air Force Director of Athletics Nathan Pine.
"I am very proud of the leadership Coach McIntyre has shown and the coaching job she and her staff have done since taking over," Pine said. "She has guided our program to a historic season in year one, resulting in our Falcons hosting a WNIT post-season game for the first time ever. Coach McIntyre's leadership supports the mission of the Academy and has our women's basketball program positioned for even greater success moving forward."
McIntyre and Falcon basketball closed on 2024-25 with an 18-15 record, marking the most wins by a Falcon head coach in their first season in the program's history. Air Force opened the year 10-2, earning the program's first-ever 10-win nonconference record and the best start to a season since 1991-92. The Falcons, earning a seven seed in the 2025 Mountain West Championships, defeated No. 10 Utah State in the opening round before falling in the MW quarterfinals.
McIntyre led Air Force to the program's second-ever bid to the WNIT while hosting a postseason game in Clune Arena for the first time.
"I'm incredibly grateful to Athletic Director Nathan Pine for the confidence and trust he's shown in me," McIntyre said. "I'm excited to continue building on the strong foundation we've built, and I'm committed to leading this team to new heights both on and off the court."
