Air Force Duo Shines in Late-Night Racing at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – The junior duo of Jayden Nats and Max Sannes shined under the lights of Stanford's Cobb Track on Friday (April 25) night, as they accounted for two of the four-fastest 10,000-meter times in Air Force history during top-five finishes at the Payton Jordan Invitational.

AIR FORCE TOP 10 MARKS

No. 2 – Jayden Nats, Men's 10,000-Meter Run (28:22.06)

No. 4 – Max Sannes, Men's 10,000-Meter Run (28:25.20)

As the only members of the Falcons' squad to compete this weekend, Nats and Sannes made the most of their laps during the 10,000-meter race – becoming two of eight Falcons in Air Force history to run sub-29. Nats clocked a career-best time of 28:22.06 to vault up to No. 2 on the program's all-time list and lower his own Air Force Junior Class Record during a third-place finish in the Invitational section, while Sannes – running his first 10K since 2023, crossed the finish line in a time of 28:25.20 to finish fifth in the meet and move up to fourth in the Academy Record Book.

The Falcons return to action next Saturday (May 3), when they split for competitions at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson and the Doug Max Invitational in Fort Collins.
