U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – If the ending of the 2025 spring season for Air Force Women's Tennis was any indication to the shakeup Taylor Hollander and her Falcons are forcing in the national pecking order, then a quick look at Tennis Recruiting Network's news panel should serve as final proof.
Air Force, after adding 11 wins to its dual record in 2025 from the season prior and earning a semifinal bid in this year's Mountain West Championship, ranked 10th on TRN's 2025 Top Mid-Major Women's Classes – The Falcons' highest-ever ranking.
The No. 10 spot places the Falcons in front of both fellow service academies, falling one spot ahead of Navy (11th) and 14 ahead of Army (24th), and marks Air Force as the lone Mountain West program to crack the list.
The mid-major rankings in tennis include all colleges in all divisions except for those in the four so-called "power" conferences in college football - the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and SEC - as well as the Ivy League.
including the four programs that made the ranking for their first time ever (FGCU, Tarleton State, UC San Diego, Seton Hall), Air Force was one of eight programs on the list to achieve its highest-ever TRN Mid-Major ranking (Memphis, 1; Louisiana Tech, 4; Air Force, 10; Navy, 11).
Individual members of the Air Force Women's Tennis Class of 2029 will be officially announced in detail later this summer.
