U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – On Wednesday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2025 postseason regional rankings, on which Air Force Women's Tennis – individually and as a team – made the list.
The Falcons, after undergoing their largest single-season turnaround in the program's history, closed ninth in the final Mountain Region rankings. In the second season of head coach Taylor Hollander's tenure, Air Force improved from a last-place finish in 2023-24 to going 12-14 in 2024-25 dual competition and 4-6 against Mountain West opponents. The Falcons ended their season as the seven-seed in this year's Mountain West Championship, shutting out New Mexico in the opening round and scoring a 4-1 win over ranked two-seed Nevada – A win representing the program's highest-seeded postseason win since 2017.
In singles play, senior team captain Alexis Odom closed ranked 18th in ITA Mountain Region singles. Odom, a 2025 All-Mountain West singles selection, closed her season with eight wins, all earned on the Falcons' top court. Odom closed her season with a 2-1 finish, scoring a three-set win over Wyoming's Ana Kochelaevskaia and a straight set victory over Amahee Charrier in the Falcons' marquis victory over Nevada in the MW Tournament.
All-Mountain West doubles selection Arianna Van Houweling/Nadia Kojonroj secured the ninth spot in the final Mountain Region rankings. The duo finished at 9-5 on the dual season, capping the year with a pair of set wins against Nevada (6-1) and a doubles-clinching, tiebreak win in the MW semifinals against UNLV's Nikol Mircheva/Hanna Vinahradava. Van Houweling/Kojonroj's efforts in doubles led a 10-match winning streak for the Falcons as a team to close out the 2024-25 season.
