USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball released its non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season, announced today by head coach Joe Scott. The 11-game slate features a renewal of the Service Academy rivalry with Navy and eight home games at Clune Arena.
"We have a challenging non-conference schedule with high-quality opponents," Scott said. "These teams are coming off strong seasons and we expect this to challenge our young team and prepare us for the daily battles that the Mountain West schedule will bring."
According to ESPN college basketball bracketologist Joe Lunardi, four of Air Force's non-conference opponents--LIU, Miami (Ohio), Navy and Northern Colorado--are projected to win their conference or be NCAA Tournament teams in 2025-26.
The Falcons open the season Nov. 3 at Belmont. The Bruins racked up 22 wins last season and now boast a streak of 15 consecutive 20-win seasons and seven conference championships during that run.
Air Force follows by playing its next seven games at the friendly confines of Clune Arena, starting with the home-opener against Austin Peay on Nov. 8. The Falcons next host Long Island for a Veteran's Day game match-up on Nov. 11.
The next two home games are Nov. 15 vs. Miami (Ohio) and Nov. 19 vs. Alabama State. Miami (Ohio) was the regular season and tournament runner-up in the Mid-American Conference last season, racking up 25 wins. Alabama State is the reigning SWAC Tournament Champions and went on to win a game at the NCAA Tournament last season.
Air Force hosts the Air Force Classic on Nov. 21 and 23, taking on SIUE on Nov. 21 and IU Indianapolis on Nov. 23. There will also be a pair of neutral-site games at Clune Arena, with Alabama State taking on IU Indianapolis on Nov. 21 and Alabama State taking on SIU-Edwardsville on Nov. 23. SIUE was the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Champion and made the NCAA Tournament, posting 22 wins last season.
The Falcons cap the seven-game home stand the night before Thanksgiving, hosting Northern Colorado on Nov. 26. Northern Colorado was the 2025 Big Sky Regular Season Champions and conference tournament runner-ups. The Bears made the NIT last season, winning 25 games.
Air Force returns to action with a neutral-site game at the Monument in Rapid City, SD, taking on South Dakota on Nov. 29. South Dakota is coming off a 19-win season last year, posting a winning record in the Summit League.
The Falcons then host a Dec. 3 game against Pacific, a member of the West Coast Conference. Air Force concludes the non-conference slate with a road game Dec. 7 at Navy. The teams last met 20 years ago back on Nov. 27, 2005 in Annapolis. It is the first of a two-game series with the Midshipmen, with the return game at Clune Arena in 2026.
The Mountain West schedule will be announced in the near future.
