After accounted for just one block in last night's opener, the Falcons responded for seven total blocks – a tally led on solo and four assisted stops from sophomore Grace Fiaseu.
After benefitting from four Portland State errors to start the match, Fiaseu and senior Savanah Johnson teamed up for a block to give Air Force a fast 5-1 lead. Three-straight kills from Johnson, Walker and Bible pushed the Falcons' lead to 8-2 and sent the Vikings into an early timeout. Air Force continued to pile on the points, as back-to-back blocks from Fiaseu (one solo, one assisted with Loyd) helped pushed their advantage to seven (11-4).
