U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - The Falcons completed day one of the Air Force Diving Invitational with seven divers placing in the top 12, at Cadet Natatorium on Thursday January 29.
Lucas Gerten earned a bronze finish on the 3-meter springboard with an NCAA Zone qualifying score of 358.80. Fellow Falcon Brady Nichol followed in seventh place, scoring 309.85 in finals, while Vann Hotchkiss (277.85) and Tyler Tolerico (276.20) finished back-to-back in 10th and 11th, respectively.
On the women's 1-meter springboard, Kacey Hu led the Falcons with a preliminary score of 231.55 before finishing sixth in finals with 247.20. Lexi Gregory placed seventh after scoring 243.15 in finals, and Chloe Perkins rounded out the group with an 11th-place finish at 227.00.
Air Force will swap boards with the women on the 3-meter and the men competing on the 1-meter on Friday Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m. MT in the Cadet Natatorium.
