Falcons Set for First Appearance at DeLoss Dodds Invitational

After spending the first three weeks of the 2025-26 season traveling along the Front Range, the Air Force track and field team – which includes the 27th-ranked men – will head to Manhattan, Kan., this weekend (Jan. 30-31) to face several nationally-ranked Power 4 teams at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State.

MEET INFORMATION
The DeLoss-Dodds Invitational will take place at the Cliff Rovelto Indoor Track on the campus of Kansas State. Admission is free to the two-day (Jan. 30-31) event that will feature athletes from Air Force and several, nationally-ranked Power 4 programs. Results will be available through Flash Results and Air Force highlights will be posted on the team's official social media accounts (@af_tfxc).
SCHEDULE OF AIR FORCE EVENTS (ALL TIMES CENTRAL)
FRIDAY – 11:00 am: Women's Pentathlon; 3:30 pm: Women's Weight Throw; 3:45 pm: Women's Pole Vault; 4:30 pm: Women's High Jump; 4:30 pm: 800-Meter Run; 4:45 pm: Men's High Jump; 5:05 pm: 200-Meter Dash; 5:30 pm: Men's Weight Throw; SATURDAY – 1:00 pm: Women's Long Jump; 2:05 pm: 60-Meter Hurdles (prelim), 60-Meter Dash (prelim); 3:10 pm: Men's Mile Run; 3:25 pm: 60-Meter Hurdles (final); 3:50 pm: 400-Meter Dash; 4:00 pm: Men's Pole Vault; 4:15 pm: Men's Shot Put; 4:50 pm: 60-Meter Dash (final); 6:00 pm: 4x400-Meter Relay (unless noted, the women will compete first in all running events).

Five of the seven programs scheduled to compete at this weekend's DeLoss Dodds Invitational have their men's or women's team ranked among the nation's Top 30 in the first USTFCCCA Rating Index of the season, which was released on Jan. 27. The list of competing teams includes Air Force (No. 27 men), Baylor (No. 19 women), Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State (No. 3 men), Oklahoma (No. 6 men), Oklahoma State, and USC (No. 30 men, No. 23 women)
MEN RANKED AMONG NATION'S TOP 30
The men are ranked No. 27 in the first USTFCCCA Rating Index Checkpoint of the season, which was released on Jan. 27. That is the Falcons' highest weekly ranking since the final week of the 2016 season (No. 19) – and just their seventh Top 30 appearance since 2000.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Texas Tanner is ranked among the nation's top four in both the weight throw and shot put. His 24.18-meter distance in the weight throw is No. 2 in the NCAA, while his 19.77-meter throw in the shot put is No. 4.
WHAT'S ON DECK
The Falcons return to Boulder next weekend (Feb. 6-7) for the Colorado Classic.
