Air Force Set to Face Army, Navy at All-Academy Championships

The 12th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team heads to Fort Worth, Texas, this Friday (Feb. 13) to take on No. 9 Navy and No. 13 Army West Point at the annual All-Academy Championships.
MEET INFORMATION
The All-Academy Championships will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 13, as part of The Horton Challenge. Action is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and admission is free. Links to any scoring and video will be posted to the Falcons' schedule page if available.

OPPONENT WATCH
Navy is currently ranked ninth in the NCAA with a 306.925 average, while Army West Point is ranked 13th at 302.417. Backed by a No. 8 individual placement from Maddox Pabellon (13.862), the Black Knights are ranked third on the pommel horse with a 52.733 average. Navy is led in the individual rankings by Brian Solomon, who is listed 10th in the all-around with a 78.300 average.

The Falcons are ranked 12th in the NCAA with a two-meet average of 302.575, while holding a top 10 team ranking on the high jump (49.925, ninth tie). Individually, Jack Matlock is listed among the nation's top 10 in the pommel horse, with an average of 13.700.

Air Force has won 12 team titles at the All-Academy Championships since 2000, while Army West Point has won seven and Navy has won six (weather caused the cancellation of the meet in 2012.

While two (Sam Brown, Issac Koo) grew up in Fort Worth – the site of this weekend's competition, the Falcons also call home to Alvin (Josh Loeser), Coppell (John Hurts), Houston (Jack Thomas Foltyn, Sergey Resnick), Killeen (Mike Reid), Lubbock (Jared Fry), and Pilot Point (Will Kudlac).
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
The Falcons return to the Academy on Saturday, Feb. 28, when they host the Rocky Mountain Mavericks in cadet West Gym for Senior Day at 4:00 pm (MT).
