With a series win over reigning MW Regular Season Champions, Nevada, Air Force surged to the top of the Mountain West rankings, after being picked to finish last in ninth.
After dropping game one, the Falcons picked up a strong 18-5 win on Saturday. The pitching staff posted impressive performances, as Estridge tossed 4.1 innings and Trey Rutledge threw 4.2 without a run allowed. Offensively, Brooks Burdine went 3-for-4 with four RBIs while Kayden Bradshaw also batted in four runs.
Air Force came back to take the rubber match after splitting the series, 17-12.
Both Tripp Garrish and Wyatt Hanoian led at the plate with a trio of hits and four RBIs apiece.
ON THE MOUND
Set to start against ORU, Bowen Brantingham has made a trio of starts with five total appearances. Across his 16.2 innings on the mound, he has struck out 18 batters and allowed 20 runs. So far his season-best performance was 4.1 innings with five strikeouts and just two hits allowed at South Carolina.

Sophomore Kayden Bradshaw has earned the starting spot in 19 games of 21 he has played this season and been a leader for the team. The outfielder posts a team-best batting average of .403 with 28 runs scored, 29 hits, and 19 RBIs while stealing ten bases.
In game three against UNLV, Bradshaw completed the feat of hitting for the cycle. He went 4-for-4 to score five runs, bat in two, and record a single, double, triple, and a homer.
He followed that performance with another great one in the Monday win over St. Thomas, going a perfect 4-for-4 again with four runs scored, a double, and an inside the park home run.
During the series at Nevada, he drove in six runs off five hits.
STANDOUT FRESHMEN
Wyatt Hanoian has started all 20 games he has played in and boasts the second- highest BA of the freshmen starters at .304 with 19 runs, 21 hits, and 24 RBIs under his belt. In the second matchup with DBU, he recorded three hits and batted in four runs. Over the UNLV series, Hanoian drove in seven runs and scored six. At Nevada as the designated hitter, Hanoian accounted for five RBIs and four runs.
Brooks Burdine has logged 15 starts in the outfield and has recorded the best batting average for the freshman at .310. He has scored 14 runs and 10 RBIs. In game two at Nevada, he marked a career-high four RBIs in a single game after going 3-for-4.
