COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three members of the Air Force track and field team were honored by the Mountain West this afternoon (March 24), as the conference office announced its first athletes of the week for the 2026 outdoor season.
Backed by strong performances at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational, the Falcons collected a share of every award. Senior Jettason Rose was named the MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while sophomore Morgan Glaser was honored as the MW Women's Field Athlete of the Week and Cadee Alder earned the MW Women's Freshman of the Week award.
Rose swept the sprint titles in the Falcons' outdoor opener, easily leading Air Force to a 1-2 finish in both events. The senior posted the second-fastest 200-meter time in Air Force history during that win, as he posted a time of 20.38 to hold a half-second advantage over the rest of the 42-man field and reset the Academy's Senior Class Record. He also accounted for a wind-aided 10.21 victory in the 100-meter dash – the fastest all-condition time in program history – to finish first out of 38 runners. The Mountain West leader in both distances, Rose is currently ranked among the NCAA leaders, with a No. 4 standing at 200 meters and a No. 7 placement at 100 meters.
With a winning high jump clearance of 1.81 meters (5'11¼"), Glaser is currently ranked No. 2 in the NCAA standings. That height, an outdoor-best for the sophomore, came on her first attempt and is just a quarter inch off the national lead. With the second-best outdoor clearance in Air Force history, she led the Falcons to a 1-2 finish in the 17-jumper event. In addition to making her collegiate debut in the long jump and javelin, Glaser added a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles after clocking a 62.16 finish that is currently fifth in the conference standings.
Alder had a standout javelin premiere on Friday, recording a launch of 48.60 meters (159'5") to win the 23-thrower event and debut at No. 3 in the Air Force Record Book. Alder, who won the meet by more than three feet, crushed the program's Freshman Class Record – adding more than eight feet to a mark that had stood since 2009. Currently ranked second in the Mountain West, Alder is No. 7 among NCAA Freshmen and No. 23 among all NCAA throwers in the javelin.
The Falcons are back in action this Saturday (March 28), when they travel to Los Angeles for the Jim Bush Legends Meet at UCLA.
