U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The 2026-27 Air Force hockey schedule features 17 home games at the Cadet Ice Arena. Game times will be released at a later date.
The Falcons open the season with an exhibition game against Omaha, Oct. 2, at Cadet Ice Arena.
The regular season opens on the road at St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minn.), Oct. 9-10. St. Thomas enters its fifth season at the Division I level and first season in the NCHC. The Tommies won 21 games last season, tied for second in the CCHA and returned to the CCHA Mason Cup Final for the second consecutive year. This will be the first meeting between Air Force and St. Thomas since the Tommies rose to Division I.
The regular-season home schedule begins with a series against Lindenwood, Oct. 16-17, at Cadet Ice Arena. Lindenwood, in its fifth season as an NCAA Division I independent, went 15-15-0 last season and fell in overtime in the championship game of the inaugural United Collegiate Hockey Cup. This will be Lindenwood's third trip to Cadet Ice Arena. Most recently, the Falcons swept the Lions, 32- and 2-1, Oct. 18-20, 2024.
The battle for the Pikes Peak Trophy will continue Oct. 23-24 as the Falcons meet Colorado College for a pair of non-conference games. The Falcons and Tigers play at Robson Arena on Friday, Oct. 23, and at Cadet Ice Arena, Saturday, Oct. 24. Colorado College currently holds the trophy after a 4-2 win over the Falcons last season at Cadet Ice Arena.
The Atlantic Hockey America slate kicks off with a pair of games at Robert Morris, Oct. 30-31. Air Force will then play four straight home conference games against Army (Nov. 6-7) and Bentley (Nov. 13-14). After a four-game road swing to Princeton and Holy Cross, the Falcons close out the first half of the season at home against Niagara, Dec. 4-5.
The second half of the season opens at home with a non-conference series against Lake Superior State, Jan. 2-3. Air Force will play 14 conference games in the second half of the season with eight on the road and six at home.
The chase for the Jack Riley Trophy will include all nine Atlantic Hockey America teams. The 2027 Atlantic Hockey America Postseason will open with a single-game first-round matchup on March 2, with the No. 8 seed hosting the No. 9 seed.
A best-of-three quarterfinal round will take place March 5-7, hosted by the higher seeds. The semifinal best-of-three series will take place March 12-14, with the highest remaining seed hosting the lowest, and the second-highest hosting the third-highest team.
The postseason will conclude on March 20, when the two semifinal winners meet at the home of the higher-seeded semifinalist for one game to determine AHA's 2027 postseason champion. The winner of the AHA postseason tournament will claim the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
