
Two Air Force hockey players named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Two Air Force hockey players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® At-Large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
To be considered for CSC All-Academic honors, the student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The athletes must also meet a competition/games played threshold for eligibility, specific to each sport.
The two Falcons honored were: Brendan Gibbons and Holt Oliphant.
Gibbons, a rising senior, carries a 3.81 GPA as an operations research major. A three-time member of the AHA all-academic team, this is his second CSC all-district honor. A right winger and assistant captain from Wakefield, R.I., he played in all 37 games and was sixth on the team in points (20) and goals (6) in 2025-26.
Oliphant, a 2026 USAFA graduate, carried a 3.81 GPA as a military and strategic studies major. A four-time member of the AHA all-academic team, this is his third CSC all-district honor. A forward and team captain from Northbrook, Ill., he played in all 37 games and had 16 points (7-9-16) and blocked 41 shots.
The CSC At-Large Academic All-America® team will be announced on Wednesday, July 8.
