JUNIOR YEAR (2012): Competed on the pommel horse during four competitions, including the conference and national championship meets...scored a career-best 13.700 to place seventh at the team finals of the USAG National Championships...that score is ranked 19th on the program[apos]s all-time list...also competed on that event at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships and the NCAA National Qualifier. SOPHOMORE YEAR (2011): Participated on the floor exercise in three competitions...scored a career-best 13.200 on that event at against Stanford, Illinois and Illinois-Chicago on March 4...matched that score two days later against Ohio State, UIC and Temple...also competed on the pommel horse during the March 6 quad meet, recording a debut score of 13.400...also participated on the high bar in two meets, posting a personal-best 12.300 at the Rocky Mountain Open. FRESHMAN YEAR (2010): Earned the team[apos]s Hardest Worker award...competed on the pommel horse and parallel bars during three meets...set a career-high score of 13.250 on the pommel horse at Army...tallied a personal-best 13.700 on the parallel bars at the Springfield Triangular meet...also competed on the high bar at Arizona State, collecting a score of 11.300. HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: St. Francis de Sales High School...2009 Northwest Ohio district diving champion on the men[apos]s one meter...two-time state qualifier in one-meter diving...maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout all four years...competed at the club level at Sunrise Gymnastics Academy...coached by Steve Reamy, Chris Brown and Yusaku Hijioka...Junior Olympic national qualifier...was Class 3 Ohio state champion in 2003. PERSONAL: Son of Leonard and Julie Jessop...has two older brothers, Austin and Andrew...majoring in civil engineering...future plans include becoming a CE officer...hobbies include bicycling...favorite event is the high bar, because 'I used to be terrified of it, and overcoming that fear took a lot of work'...member of Cadet Squadron 40.
