Guidelines
Air Force Sports Camps are designed to provide a safe, positive and memorable experience for every camper. All campers are expected to follow these rules and conduct themselves appropriately throughout their time at the United States Air Force Academy.
Our #1 Priority: Camper Safety
Some expectations may seem obvious, but every rule is important. The safety and well-being of our campers is the highest priority throughout Air Force Sports Camps.
Prohibited Items & Conduct
The following behaviors or items can result in immediate dismissal from Air Force Sports Camps.
Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco & Vaping
Possession or use of illegal drugs, tobacco products, alcohol or vaping products will result in automatic dismissal from camp.
Weapons & Dangerous Items
Weapons and dangerous items are prohibited. This includes explosives, laser pointers, knives, firearms, lighters and matches.
Fighting & Inappropriate Behavior
Fighting, horseplay, foul language, stealing, sneaking out of the dorms, bullying, making fun of others or other inappropriate behavior is prohibited and may result in immediate dismissal.
Unauthorized Cadet Contact
Campers may not have contact with cadets other than their assigned cadet camp counselor, and only for official camp business.
Know the Rules
Every camper is responsible for understanding and following camp expectations throughout the week.
Respect Others
Treat fellow campers, coaches, counselors, cadets, staff members and Academy personnel with respect at all times.
Follow Staff Instructions
Campers are expected to follow instructions from Air Force Sports Camps staff, coaches and assigned camp counselors.
Wear Your Credential
Campers must wear their official camp credential at all times when they are not actively participating in sport camp instruction.
Dress Appropriately
Lewd or provocative clothing is not permitted. Campers wearing inappropriate clothing will be asked to change immediately.
Dormitory Guidelines
Boarder campers must follow all dormitory access restrictions and nightly expectations.
Male Boarders
Male boarders are not permitted on the second or third floors of the dormitory.
Female Boarders
Female boarders are not permitted on the second, fifth or sixth floors of the dormitory.
Lights Out
Lights out is at 9:30 p.m. each night. Campers are expected to be in their assigned areas and follow counselor instructions.
Dining & Dress Standards
Campers are expected to follow Academy standards when using dining facilities and moving throughout campus.
Mitchell Hall Dining Facility
Sandals, flip-flops, swimming suits, tank tops, robes and pajamas are not permitted during breakfast or dinner at Mitchell Hall.
Camp Dress Code
Camp clothing should be appropriate for a youth athletic environment. Campers wearing clothing determined to be inappropriate will be required to change.
Camp Director Authority
The Air Force Sports Camps Director has final discretion regarding the dismissal or removal of campers who choose not to follow the rules and guidelines established for Air Force Sports Camps.
