Tyler Amerman joins Air Force by way of Salt Lake Community College, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he served as the assistant men’s soccer coach. He was also the head coach of the Forza Futbol Club while living in Utah. Prior to his coaching stint in Utah, Amerman served as an assistant coach for Fort Lewis College (2016-17), the University of Charleston (2015-16) and was the Academy Director for the West Virginia Futbol Club (2015-16).
Amerman assisted the University of Charleston to a 44-2-1 overall record in two years, including a 2015 NCAA Final Four Appearance and two runner’s-up finishes. He has his NSCAA coaching license and is a USSF licensed coach. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in sports management at Colorado Mesa University in 2010 and a Master’s degree in coaching education from Northern Colorado in 2016.
“We are thrilled to have Tyler Amerman join our staff as our new volunteer assistant coach this year,” exclaimed head coach Doug Hill. “He brings a wealth of Club and College soccer experience to our program.”
“I love his high energy and passion for the game,” continued Hill. “His expertise will be used immediately as he will be coaching our development players when the varsity team is traveling on the road. We need a quality coach like Tyler to work with our reserve players and it is critical to our player development.”
