JUNIOR YEAR | 2022-23: Competed in the hammer throw during five meets…debuted at No. 22 on the program’s all-time standings with a career-best throw of 140’6” at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…made debut in that event at the Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational…improved distance by nearly 30 feet during the season…did not compete during the indoor season…received the team’s Falcon Award for Spirit and Enthusiasm.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2021-22: Registered the sixth-best javelin throw in Air Force history during a 152’1” performance at the Fresno State Invitational…became the first Falcon since 2012 to surpass 150 feet…debuted on the program’s top 10 (ninth) after a winning toss of 146’3” at the Front Range Open…also won the javelin at the Air Force Twilight Open…scored for the Falcons at the Mountain West Championships, finishing fourth with a throw of 143’5”…placed within the top four during six of eight meets…earned the team’s Most Improved Award.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2020-21: Competed in the javelin during five meets…recorded a career-best throw of 125’1” to win the Jack Christiansen Invitational…that was the No. 2 distance on the team in 2021…won that event at the Air Force Twilight Open (122’6”)…also competed in the long jump and 100-meter hurdles during the outdoor season…ranked No. 2 on the team in the long jump following a 16’70¾” leap at Colorado State...competed in the pentathlon during two indoor meets…ranked No. 2 on the team in the shot put (31’8¾”, Air Force Collegiate Open).
HIGH SCHOOL: Westview High School...All-American in the heptathlon and javelin at the 2018 USATF National Youth Championships...holds the school record in the long jump, javelin and heptathlon...named WHS Female Rookie Track Athlete of the Year in 2017...claimed the school’s Field Athlete of the Year award in 2018...finished fourth in the long jump at the CIF San Diego Sectional...member of the Westview surf team...also played for the San Diego Soccer Club...top-ranked goal scorer in San Diego during the 2018 season...named to the Honor Roll all four years.
PERSONAL: Full name is Alexxis Madison Brown…nickname is “Lex”…daughter of Chad and Amber Brown...mother was a heptathlete at the University of New Mexico, before transferring to Arizona State University...has one younger brother...majoring in biology...future plans include becoming an intelligence or force support officer…currently serving as a training officer…named to the Dean’s List…earned Jump Wings in the summer of 2022…played tackle football...also coached football for six years...loves surfing with great white sharks and hanging out with friends…also enjoys hiking, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, rock climbing and football...grandfather was in the Army and served in Vietnam…served as assistant flight commander for Barbarians Charlie during Basic Cadet Training over the summer, where she led the basics thought First Beast…also served as CIC for Operations Support, where she made sure all base operations were running and that her teams carried out their tasks...member of Cadet Squadron 18.
