2006: Named the team[apos]s Most Valuable Player...also earned the High Point Award for the men[apos]s team...Mountain West Conference champion in the heptathlon...Academy record-holder in that event...competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships...two-time all-conference honoree...topped his own program standard in the indoor multi-event with a winning score of 5412 at the MWC Championships...became the second straight Falcon to win the MWC heptathlon...won final event - the 1000-meter run - to secure the title...led the Falcons with a 6[apos]4¼' high jump at the conference meet...also posted the team[apos]s top long jump distance of the season...jumped to 23[apos]0¼' at the NCAA Indoor Championships...originally set the Academy record in the heptathlon at the Air Force Invitational, posting a score of 5318 points...was the second-fastest Falcon in the 60-meter dash (7.03) and 60-meter hurdles (8.45)...ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that timed a 3:17.77 at the conference meet... earned the team[apos]s Field Athlete of the Week award on two occasions during the indoor season...moved into fourth on the program[apos]s all-time decathlon list...scored 6940 points at the MWC Outdoor Championships...finished third at the conference meet...placed second out of 26 competitors at the Mt. 2005: Earned the team[apos]s Laura Piper [apos]Ironman[apos] Award...finished second in the decathlon at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships with 6716 points...that total is the fifth-most in Academy history...also set a personal-best distance in the long jump (22[apos]1½') to finish fifth at the conference meet...tied for the team lead on the outdoor high jump with a height of 6[apos]4'...was a member of the team-leading 4x100-meter relay team that clocked in at 42.53 to finish fourth at the conference meet...ran the second leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third at the MWC Championships in a season-best time of 3:13.23...earned a fourth-place finish in the heptathlon at the MWC Indoor Championships with a career-best 5012 points...that total is the third-best ever in Academy history and a new Sophomore Class record...finished second in the heptathlon at the Air Force Invitational with 4803 points...led the Falcons during the indoor season with a long jump mark of 22[apos]11¾'...ranked third on the team in the high jump with a height of 6[apos]2¼'...also ranked third on the team in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.11...earned the team[apos]s Field Athlete of the Week on three occasions
2004: Recorded 4662 points in the heptathlon at the MWC Indoor Championships to finish eighth...total is fourth on the program[apos]s all-time list and a new Freshman Class record...tallied a career-best 6188 points in the decathlon at the conference outdoor meet, which is the 10th-best total all-time at the Academy...ran the indoor 400-meter dash in 50.26 at the Air Force Open...ran the race during the outdoor season with a time of 50.34 at the CSU Decathlon...ranked fourth on the team in the outdoor high jump (6[apos]0¾'), long jump (21[apos]10¼') and triple jump (41[apos]6')...shared the program[apos]s weekly Outstanding Competitor award with mile relay teammates following a season-best performance at the quadrangular with Arizona, Colorado State and Colorado...ranked sixth in the country in the decathlon for those 19 and under
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time track MVP...league champion in the 200-meter (22.10) and 400-meter (49.49) dashes, as well as the triple jump (45[apos]2¼')...also lettered three years in football and soccer...first-team Division I all-CIF southern section wide receiver...2003 Ken Hubbs Award recipient for athlete of the year in San Bernardino country...named 2002-03 Male Prep Athlete of the Year by the 'San Bernardino Sun'
PERSONAL: Son of Brian and Sherry Walsh...has one sister, Janee, who is a sophomore at UC-Irvine...majoring in social sciences...attending undergraduate pilot training after graduation...named to the Dean[apos]s List and Athletic Director[apos]s List...hobbies include golf, snowboarding, wakeboarding and traveling.
