Falcons Split for Meets in Colorado and California

The Air Force track and field team, which includes the 18th-ranked men's squad, will split this weekend [April 3-4] for meets in Colorado and California. Most of the team will head to Boulder for the annual Jerry Quiller Classic at Potts Field, while several members of the distance team will race at the Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic in Northern California.

MEET INFORMATION
The Jerry Quiller Classic will take place at Potts Field on the University of Colorado's East Campus [intersection of Innovation Drive and Discovery Drive]. The hammer and javelin throws will take place on Friday, while the remainder of the events will be held on Saturday [a tentative schedule is listed below]. Admission is free for Friday, while tickets for Saturday are $12 for adults and $9 for youth aged 4-12. Fans must adhere to the school's Clear Bag Policy. The distance squad will compete in Northern California at the Stanford Invitational [Stanford] and Mike Fanelli Track Classic [San Francisco] over the April 3-4 weekend. The Invitational will take place at Cobb Track and Angell Field on the Stanford campus, with live Classic will be held at Cox Stadium at San Francisco State. Tickets for the Stanford meet can be purchased online at GoStanford.com, while live results will be available via Record Timing. There is no charge for the Fanelli Classic and Red Cap Timing will oversee results [direct links to both timing sites are available on the Falcons' schedule page].
HIGH FLYING
With an Academy Record clearance of 1.87 meters [6-1.50], Morgan Glaser currently leads the NCAA in the high jump.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Three Falcons are ranked among the NCAA Top 5. In addition to Morgan Glaser's nation-leading clearance of 1.87 meters, Jettason Rose is ranked fourth in the 200-meter dash [20.45a] and Texas Tanner is ranked among the NCAA leaders in both the discus throw [62.07 meters, No. 3] and hammer throw [72.26 meters, No. 5].
SQUAD GOALS
With a combined distance of 214.61 meters, the men's discus quartet of Texas Tanner, Evan Keefe, Massimo Grisotto and Trevin Jordan are currently ranked No. 1 in the March 31 installment of the USTFCCCA #Event Squad Rankings – which are determined by the cumulative season-best marks from a team's top four athletes in the national descending order list. The men's pole vault lineup [Max McFarlane, James Vogel Jr., Tanner Woodring, Max Austin – 19.96 meters] are ranked fourth, while Air Force also maintains top-20 marks in the 100-meter dash [No. 12], hammer throw [No. 17] and 200-meter dash [No. 20].

Air Force will split again next weekend for meets on April 9-12. While most of the team will compete in-state at the Kit Mayer Classic in Golden, the Falcons' multi-event athletes will head to Azusa, Calif., for the Bryan Clay Multis and Texas Tanner will travel to Ramona, Okla., for the Oklahoma Throws Series Invitational and Bronze World Invitational.
