SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2023-24: Recorded Air Force Top 5 times in both the 100-meter and 200-meter events during the outdoor season…led off the 4x100-meter relay that clocked the third-fastest time in program history (40.02) to finish second at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…named all-conference with that relay…opened the outdoor season by clocking the second-fastest 100-meter time in Air Force history (10.40) to finish third out of 59 sprinters at the Spank Blasing Invitational…moved up to No. 5 on the program’s all-time standings in the 200-meter dash during a runner-up finish (20.92) at the Air Force Twilight Open…finished sixth in that event at both conference championships meets (21.27 indoors, 21.13 outdoors)…moved into No. 8 on the program’s all-time indoor standings with that 21.27 finish…collected three first-place finishes in the 200-meter dash during the indoor season (Ralph Lindeman Classic prelim, Ralph Lindeman Classic final, Windy City invitational)…opened the season by tying the 15th-fastest 60-meter time in Air Force history with a runner-up 6.81 finish at the Air Force Holiday Open…academic all-conference.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2022-23: Clocked a career-best 200-meter time of 21.86 to win the Invitational at the Peak, set a new Meet Record and debut at No. 23 on the program’s all-time standings…also accounted for a personal-best 60-meter time of 6.95 at that meet…raced in two meets during the outdoor season…posted a career-best 100-meter time of 11.05 at the Air Force Twilight Open…academic all-conference selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Quincy Senior High School…Illinois 3A state champion in the 200-meter dash (2022)…claimed conference titles in the 100- and 200-meter events as a senior…AAU national qualifier in those events as a junior…AAU regional champion in the 200-meter dash that year…two-time state qualifier in both sprint races…added a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter dash at the state meet as a senior…earned top-five finishes in the 60-meter (fifth) and 200-meter (third) events at the Illinois 3A Indoor championships that year…school record holder in both events…named Illinois State Scholar in 2022…member of the Society for Academic Achievement…named National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program Scholar as a senior.
PERSONAL: Full name is Jettason William Rose…nickname is “Jety”…son of Shawn and Chris Rose…father played football in college…has one older sister, Ali, who is a member of the track team at William Penn University…majoring in computer science…future plans include becoming a cyber officer, intelligence officer, or pilot…currently serving as an Element Leader…hobbies include playing pickleball, working out, playing DnD, and watching anime…thinks pineapple on pizza is “pretty good”…maternal grandfather was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War…traveled to Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, over the summer for Operation Air Force…shadowed NASIC, AFRL and AFIT while on Ops…also worked in A-Staff during Basic Cadet Training, managing accountability for the basics…member of Cadet Squadron 31.
