FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016-17: Competed in the long jump and triple jump...recorded personal-best marks in both during the indoor season...recorded a career-best 37'4" to finish third in the triple jump at the Air Force Team Challenge...added a runner-up mark of 36'7½" at the Air Force Holiday Open...posted personal-best distance of 16'7" in the long jump at that meet...recorded an outdoor-best triple jump mark of 35'11½" at the Mountain West Championships...surpassed the 37-foot mark during a pair of wind-impacted efforts at the Air Force Twilight Open (37'1¼") and Johnson/Joyner Kersee Invitational (37'1")...earned third-place finishes in both meets...competed in the outdoor long jump once (16'2½" at the Jerry Quiller Classic)...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete. HIGH SCHOOL: Benet Academy...finished eighth in the triple jump at the Illinois state championships as a senior...added a top-25 finish in that event at the 2015 state meet (21st)...member of the National Honor Society...National Merit Scholar. PERSONAL: Daughter of Tom and Debbie Zimmerman...has one older sister who is a senior at the Air Force Academy...also has one younger sister...majoring in physics...future plans include becoming a physicist...honored as a Dean's Ace in the fall of 2016...named to the Superintendent's List for excellence in military, academics and athletics (fall of 2016)...named to the Dean's List and Athletic Director's List in the spring of 2017...selected to spend a semester abroad in Mexico during the fall of 2018...serves as a cantor for the Catholic choir...hobbies include hiking, skiing, singing in the Catholic choir, jumping into sand competitively, and late-night ukulele playing...avid brunch-goer...spent 10 years as a competitive Irish dancer...completed the Jump program and Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET, "wandered aimlessly around the forest") over the summer...also hiked a few 14ers, hung out with her dog and became an expert on ice cream stores in Seattle...member of Cadet Squadron 30.
