JUNIOR YEAR | 2018-19: Competed in three meets...participated in the 3000-meter run (8:47.35 altitude-adjusted at the Air Force Open) and 5000-meter run (15:25.33a at the Colorado Invitational) during the indoor season...competed in the 5000-meter run once outdoors, posting an altitude-adjusted time of 15:50.34 at the Doug Max Invitational...MW Scholar-Athlete.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2017-18: Competed in five different distances...posted a personal-best time of 8:31.63 (adjusted for altitude) in the 3000-meter run at the Colorado Invitational...also competed in the mile (4:19.95a, Air Force Invitational) and 5000-meter run (personal-best 14:52.98a, Air Force Collegiate Open) during the indoor season...won the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:44.64) in only appearance at the NoCo Challenge...made 10,000-meter debut at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, posting a time of 31:25.22...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL: Full name is Marshall Ryan Wheeler...nickname is “Brakes”...son of Mark and Susan Wheeler...father played soccer for Northwest Nazarene University...has one older sister...majoring in systems engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot and business owner...served as Squadron Honor Officer and Element Leader...named to the Dean’s List every semester...member of the “500 Club” for recording a perfect score on the AFT...hobbies include looking for more adversity to overcome, working with teammate Teri Brady to create the ultimate sock collection and dabbling in dorm room cooking...enjoys being a “nice guy”...recently found a new passion for bread with teammate Patrick Sullivan...family lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean for 18 months when he was younger...studied geochemistry over the summer during an internship with Queen’s University...also worked logistics during Basic Cadet Training...would like to add “I am proud to be given the opportunity to run for the Falcons”...member of Cadet Squadron 12.
