Alex Schultz will join the Air Force women's soccer coaching staff and an assistant coach for the 2025 season.
Most recently serving as the NAIA Championship sport manager for women's soccer, Schultz managed the Women's Soccer Championships' budget, adherence to NAIA rules, eligibility, and competition regulations.
Before joining the NAIA, Schultz worked as an applied performance specialist for Kitman Labs in Kansas City, Mo., from 2022-23. His role included implementing multi-disciplined sport science education programs with data driven performance enhancement solutions to professional and collegiate teams.

"As a Colorado Springs native, I have a deep appreciation for the history and traditions that make this institution so special. I understand how much the Academy means to our community, and I am committed to upholding its legacy while contributing to its continued success."
The Academy welcomes Schultz after his stint as the women's soccer associate head coach at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (NCAA DII), where he designed and implemented game models, facilitated all training sessions and periodization of the program, and prioritized recruiting. From 2020-2022, Schultz propelled the Mountain Lions to a record of 27-5-0 (.843). Under his instruction, UCCS earned a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship titles (2020, 2021), RMAC Tournament Champions (2021), and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2021.
While coaching collegiately, Schultz additionally took on the role of director of sports performance for the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in 2021, leading him to direct coordination and implementation of periodization with the technical staff, data collection and analysis, fitness testing, all while designing and coaching fitness sessions.
Prior to his time at UCCS, Schultz landed his first collegiate coaching position with the Regis University women's soccer program. As the assistant coach, Schultz also fulfilled duties as the director of performance analysis from 2017-2020, taking the lead on tactical breakdowns of sessions and matches, scouting opponents, and administering video recruiting of regional, national, and international prospective athletes from 2017-2019.
In his first season with the Rangers, Schultz performed as a graduate assistant, mentoring student-athletes and monitoring periodization training methodology. While under Schultz's leadership, the Rangers received the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Brechler Award for four consecutive seasons (2016-19) for the highest team GPA and earned the RMAC Regular Season Champions title in 2017.
At the youth level, Schultz served as the head coach, as well as the strength and conditioning coach, for the Liberty Commons High School women's junior varsity team (2013-15). Moreover, he serves as the co-director of Regis Soccer Academy, holding responsibility for the management of soccer summer camps, registration, administration, marketing, operations, and hiring of staff members. In addition, Schultz has assisted in coaching youth programs including Arsenal Colorado (2013-15), Colorado Storm Fort Collins (2015-16), Real Colorado (2016-18), and Colorado ODP (2016-18).
Schultz graduated from Regis University in 2018 with a master of arts in sport coaching and athletic administration. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., he earned a bachelor of science in health and exercise science with a concentration in health promotion from Colorado State University in 2016. Schultz carries the United States Soccer Federation D & E Licenses and serves as a CHSAA Coaches Association Presenting Clinician (2019), as well as a National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Specialist (2020). Within the United Soccer Coaches organization, Schultz has earned a National Diploma (2017), Advanced National Diploma (2018), and Premier Diploma (2019).
