Mike Archuleta begins his third/seventh year on the Air Force women’s soccer coaching staff in 2016. Archuleta’s primary expertise is working with the Falcon goalkeepers.
Archuleta begins his second stint with Falcon soccer, also working with the program as a assistant coach/goalkeeping coach from 2004-07.
Archuleta returned to Falcon soccer in 2014 after taking time away to further his soccer knowledge as a coach and player. Archuleta also works with the Colorado Springs Pride Soccer Club as the assistant director of goalkeeping, a position he’s held since 2011.
A long time member of the Colorado Springs soccer scene, Archuleta also worked with the Pikes Peak Rush Soccer Club from 1999-2011, serving as assistant director of goalkeeping. In 2006, Archuleta coached the U18 State Champion team.
From 1998-2004, Archuleta worked with the soccer program at Palmer High School in Colorado Springs. He was the boys varsity coach from 2003-04, garnering Colorado State and Metro League Coach of the Year honors.
Archuleta’s playing career spans over 25 years, beginning as a player with Colorado Springs Chargers/Denver Rush from 1989-97. He was also a part of the Colorado and Regional ODP programs from 1990-94. Archuleta played four seasons of soccer at Palmer High School, graduating in 1997.
Archuleta played collegiately at Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS) from 1997-2001. He also played for the Colorado Springs Ascent PDL from 1997-2003 and the Colorado Lightning/Denver Dynamite Professional Indoor Soccer PASL from 2007-09. Archuleta currently plays for the Colorado Springs Blizzard Semipro Indoor PASL team.
Archuleta has a NSCAA Regional diploma, a USSF ‘D’ license and is certified in American Red Cross AED, CPR and Standard First Aid.
