Texas Tanner had a stellar start to his senior season on Dec 6, recording NCAA-leading distances in both the shot put and weight throw at the Wyoming Power Meet in Laramie. With a 19.77-meter throw in the shot put and a 24.18-meter mark in the weight throw, Tanner easily reset his own Air Force – and Service Academy – Records in those events, while winning the shot put and posting the top collegiate finish in the weight throw.
