Air Force Lacrosse Program Hires New Assistant Coach

USAF Academy, Colo. - Eric Seremet, former assistant coach at Cornell University, has been named as an assistant coach of the Air Force Academy lacrosse team.
Seremet, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., worked for one season at Cornell, helping the team maintain a top 20 ranking throughout the 2001 season. Before Cornell, Seremet was the top assistant for three years at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also was a graduate assistant coach at Dartmouth College for one season.
At Stony Brook, Seremet was heavily involved in the recruiting process, but his main successes came on the field. He worked primarily with the defense and the goalies, and in 1998, he worked with the top goaltender in Division I in save percentage. The defense ranked third in goals against.
Seremet attended the University of North Carolina, where he was a four-year letterwinner for their lacrosse team. He was a starter on North Carolina's 1991 Division I national championship team. From 1995-1999, he played on the New York Saints, a professional indoor lacrosse team. He has also played on various lacrosse club teams for the past decade, has run five marathons and last year he bicycled from San Francisco, Calif., to Washington, D.C.
Seremet graduated in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in industrial relations.
