Falcons Down Alaska-Anchorage In Home Dual Meet

The Air Force women's gymnastics team defeated Alaska-Anchorage in dual meet action Saturday evening in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym. The Falcons won the meet with a final team score of 191.500 over Alaska's 184.950.
Air Force senior team captain Allison Todd won the all-around with a 39.00, followed by teammates junior Laura Frank (38.700), junior Becky Lewis (38.050) and freshman Lauren Robison (37.775). Sophomore Jessa Liegl tied for fifth with Alaska's Jesse Currie with a score of 37.575.
Todd finished second on vault (9.625) and Lewis and Leigl tied for third with a 9.550. Robison took fifth (9.525) and Frank tied with Michelle Bartleman of Alaska for sixth with a 9.500. Air Force swept the top five spots on bars with Todd finishing first (9.775), followed by Frank (9.700), Lewis (9.600), Liegl (9.475), and Robison (9.400). On beam, Todd took first with 9.825. Frank finished second for the Falcons with a 9.775 and Robison took fifth (9.525). Todd and Frank secured the top-two spots on floor with a 9.775 and a 9.725 respectively.
Air Force returns to action Monday evening when the Falcons host Alaska-Anchorage, Denver and Winona State in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym. The meet begins at 6 p.m.
