Falcons Finish Fourth In Denver

The Air Force women's gymnastics team finished fourth in a meet hosted by Denver University Saturday evening at the Hamilton Gymnasium. Denver took first with a team score of 196.300, followed by Western Michigan in second (193.300) and Illinois at third (192.700). The Falcons finished with a team score of 189.825.
Junior Laura Frank was the top finisher for Air Force at Saturday evening's meet in Denver. Frank tied for fourth on floor exercise with Illinois' Kara Kapernekas with a 9.850. Sophomore Jessa Liegl finished seventh in the all-around with a score of 38.4000 followed by teammates freshman Lauren Robison (37.900), Frank (37.775), and junior Becky Lewis (37.525). Frank and Lewis finished eighth and ninth respectively on vault with scores of 9.725 and 9.700.
The Falcons return to host Western Michigan in a dual meet in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym, Wednesday, March 5, at 6 p.m. Air Force also takes on Ball State in another home dual meet Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
