Falcons Host Western Michigan

U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- The Air Force women's gymnastics team hosts Western Michigan University 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym. The Falcons fell against the Broncos at a meet Saturday evening with hosts Denver and Illinois. Denver took first with a team score of 196.300, followed by Western Michigan in second (193.300) and Illinois at third (192.700). Air Force finished with a team score of 189.825. Air Force also takes on Ball State in a coed meet Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The men take on Stanford Sunday afternoon in a dual meet.
Junior Laura Frank was the top finisher for Air Force at Saturday evening's meet in Denver. Frank tied for fourth on floor exercise with Illinois' Kara Kapernekas with a 9.850. Sophomore Jessa Liegl finished seventh in the all-around with a score of 38.4000 followed by teammates freshman Lauren Robison (37.900), Frank (37.775), and junior Becky Lewis (37.525). Frank and Lewis finished eighth and ninth respectively on vault with scores of 9.725 and 9.700.
