Air Force Trio Earns USAG All-America Accolades

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Senior Jessa Liegl (Lincoln, Neb.) finished third on the vault, while classmate Kent Riechle (Cambridge, Minn.) and sophomore Ryan Stromstad (Corona, Calif.) placed seventh on the vault and floor, respectively, during the individual event finals of the 2005 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships this afternoon (April 16) in Ithaca, N.Y.
Leigl tallied a 9.612 - just .100 off of the event winner - for a third-place finish on the women's vault. Reichle scored an 8.875 on the men's vault, while Stromstad earned an 8.400 on the floor exercise, for their matching seventh-place finishes.
The Falcon trio all picked up USAG All-America honors. Liegl, who also earned the honor with a second-place finish in the all-around on Thursday night, collected five All-America accolades over her four-year career with the Falcons, while Reichle ends his collegiate career with two.
