Brian Boardman Named to MPSF All-Academic Team

WOODLAND, Calif. -- Air Force sophomore Brian Boardman was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic Team, the league announced on Monday, April 24. Boardman was one of 28 gymnasts to earn the conference honor. The native of Naperville, Ill., boasts a 3.40 grade-point-average in Mathematics. His GPA is one of the conference's top-12.
He recently made his first appearance at the NCAA National Qualifier, finishing 35th on the parallel bars with a score of 7.650. Boardman, who held a national qualifying score (NQS) of 7.770 was one of the most consistent performers on the parallel bars for the Falcons this season. He set a season-best mark of 8.100 during the squad's Feb. 5 meet at Army. The score is just .100 off of his career-best total set last year as a freshman.
To be eligible for the MPSF All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be in at least their second academic year at the member institution, hold a 3.0 GPA or better and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's meets.
