Brent Olson named AHA Player of the Week

U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force Academy junior Brent Olson was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week in helping the Falcons to a sweep of AIC, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, in Springfield, Mass.
The right winger from Baudette, Minn., scored three goals against the Yellow Jackets. He scored AFA's first goal of the game on Friday with a short-handed goal, the first of his career, as the Falcons never trailed in the game. He scored later in the period on the power play. On Saturday, he scored AFA's second goal in the 4-2 victory.
The award is the first of Olson's career. He is the fourth Air Force player to earn a weekly league honor, joining Eric Ehn, Greg Flynn and Andrew Volkening.
Air Force, 9-4-1 overall and 7-4-1 in the AHA, is in first place in the league. The Falcons host Canisius, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, at 7:05 pm MT each night at the Cadet Ice Arena.
