Air Force defeated Colorado State, 67-58, Saturday at Clune Arena for its third straight win. UNLV downed Utah, 70-57, on Wednesday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Coaches
Air Force is coached by Jeff Bzdelik (Illinois-Chicago, 1976), who is in his second season as head coach. Bzdelik returned to the college game last year after 15 seasons as a coach and scout in the NBA, most recently as head coach of the Denver Nuggets. Bzdelik has a collegiate career record of 72-42, including a 47-11 mark at Air Force. Bzdelik was the head coach at UMBC for two years from 1986-88. UNLV is coached by Lon Kruger (Kansas State, 1975), who is in his third season with the Rebels. He is 56-33 at the school and has a 174-266 career record in 20+ seasons.

UNLV leads the all-time series, 17-7. Air Force defeated the Rebels, 56-50, earlier this season at Clune Arena. AFA has won five of the last six games vs. UNLV.
