Nearly Unbeatable at Clune
Despite their loss to Wofford on Sunday, the Falcons have been close to unbeatable at Clune Arena the last five seasons. Since the beginning of the 2003-04 season, Air Force has won 71 of its 78 home games, including 36 of its 38 non-conference games.
In addition, the Falcons have won 35 of their 40 Mountain West Conference games at Clune Arena during that stretch.
Henke No. 3 in Three-Point Pct.
Senior Andrew Henke is No. 3 on Air Force's career list for three-point percentage at 42.7 percent. He was 5-of-11 from three-point range in two games this past weekend and is 11-of-19 (57.9%) this season.
Stewart Makes Immediate Impact ...
Freshman Taylor Stewart became the first Air Force freshman to record a double-double since 2000 when he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against CSU Bakersfield on Sunday. Tom Bellairs was the last freshman to have a double-double in his first season at Air Force and he had eight of them during the 1999-2000 campaign.
Stewart is also the first Falcon freshman to score in double figures in his first three collegiate games since David Schuck during the 1997-98 campaign.
... So Does Noonan
Freshman Trevor Noonan was also very impressive against CSU Bakersfield. After playing just two minutes in the season-opener against Western State, Noonan broke out with eight points and a team season-high five assists in 17 minutes against the Roadrunners.
Holland Huge vs. UCCS
Senior Matt Holland had a huge game vs. UCCS on the first day of the Reggie Minton Air Force Classic. Holland posted career-highs of 22 points and nine rebounds in the Falcons' 86-65 victory over the Mountain Lions. He followed that game with a 13-point, four rebound performance against Wofford to earn a place on the all-Classic team.
Three-Point Streak
Air Force has made a three-point shot in 484 consecutive games. The last time the Falcons failed to make a three-pointer was Dec. 4, 1991 in a 57-51 victory over Adams State College.
Parker Sets Another New Career-High
Junior Grant Parker set a new career-high with 15 points against Wofford on Sunday. Earlier this year, he had a career-best nine rebounds against CSU Bakersfield. Parker, whose career-bests entering the season were nine points (vs. Colorado College in 2006) and four rebounds (vs. Prairie View A&M in 2007), is averaging 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game this year.
Tournament Action
Air Force has a 40-72 record in regular-season tournament play in program history. The Falcons are 15-6 in tournament play since the beginning of the 2003-04 season.
Last Time vs. Stanford (11/15/06)
Jacob Burtschi posted a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds as the Falcons cruised past Stanford, 79-45, in the West Regional final of the CBE Classic in Palo Alto. Nick Welch scored 13 points and Matt McCraw added 11 to lead Air Force to a matchup with Duke in the CBE semis. Air FOrce shot 54.9 percent from the field and was 10-of-24 from three-point range.
