Lamoureux named AHA Player of the Week

USAFA, Colo. - Air Force sophomore center Jacques Lamoureux was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week for his performance in the two-game league series against Bentley, Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Lamoureux scored five points, four goals, in the series sweep to help lift Air Force to an 8-0 record this season. He scored his first career hat trick on Saturday and added an assist in that game and also netted the game-winner in Friday's 5-1 win. The Grand Forks, N.D., native leads the nation with 11 goals, 19 points, seven power-play goals and four game-winners. Lamoureux earned his second AHA Player of the Week honor of the season and it is the fourth AHA weekly honor earned by the Falcons.
Air Force is 8-0 overall this season and 6-0 and in first place in the AHA. The Falcons are ranked 14th in the nation in both the USCHO/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Magazine national polls. The ranking is the highest ever for Air Force in these two polls. Air Force is off until Nov. 14-15 when the Falcons travel to Worcester, Mass., for a two-game league series with Holy Cross.
