Falcons Tally Season-Best 192.275 at MPSF Championships

DAVIS, Calif. - The Air Force women's gymnastics team scored its best combined score of the season (192.275), as it finished fourth at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Friday, March 28, in Davis, Calif. The Falcons, who accumulated its best team total in over four years, posted three top-five finishes, as less than three points separated the four teams.
UC-Davis won the conference championship with a team score of 194.700, while Seattle-Pacific took second (193.000). Alaska-Anchorage finished third at 192.825, while Air Force rounded out the field with its 192.275.
Junior Abigail Rogers posted the Falcons' top finish, as she earned a third-place score of 9.800 on the floor exercise. She also posted a third-place total of 38.650 in the all-around, while earning another top-10 finish on the vault (9.600).
Sophomore Michelle Denise, who finished fourth in the all-around (38.575), led the squad on the uneven bars with a fifth-place score of 9.775. Classmate Kayla Kincade earned a top-five finish on the balance beam, as she finished fifth with a team-leading score of 9.750.
Senior Kelly Lewis garnered the Falcons' top placement on the vault, as her 9.625 was seventh. She also earned a top-10 score of 9.725 on the floor exercise (ninth).
