Three Falcons Invited to NCAA Regional Meet

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were invited to compete in the all-around at the NCAA North Central Regional Championships, the NCAA announced early this evening (March 31). With the selection, the Air Force trio will compete in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday, April 12.
Junior Abigail Rogers, sophomore Michelle Denise and freshman Brittany Dutton were three of the five all-around competitors selected to the regional meet. In addition, sophomore Kayla Kincade was chosen as an alternate on the balance beam. Rogers leads the trio with a Regional Qualifying Score of 38.240, while Denise and Dutton hold respective RQS marks of 38.005 and 37.915. Kincade posts a regional qualifying mark of 9.850 on the balance beam.
The Falcons will compete against teams from Utah, Arkansas, Arizona, Iowa, Southern Utah and Minnesota, as well as individual athletes from Utah State and Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Six teams, five all-around competitors who aren't on a qualifying team one individual event specialist per event were named to each of the six regions - West, North Central, South Central, Central, Northeast and Southeast. The top two teams, as well as the top two all-arounders that are not on an advancing team, from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships in Athens, Ga., on April 24-26.
