Air Force Concludes Action at NCAA Regionals

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Four representatives of the Air Force women's gymnastics team concluded competition at the NCAA North Central Regional on Saturday, April 12, in Minneapolis, Minn.
Freshman Brittany Dutton paced the trio of all-around gymnasts, finishing 17th with a score of 38.225. Sophomore Michelle Denise finished 20th in the all-around competition with a combined mark of 37.475, while junior Abigail Rogers rounded out the group with a 22nd-place total of 36.800.
Contributing to Dutton's total were scores of 9.400 on the vault, 9.525 on the uneven bars and 9.650 on the balance beam and floor exercise. Dutton matched balance beam scores of 9.650 on the balance beam with sophomore Kayla Kincade, who competed as an individual event specialist.
Denise matched her season-best score on the floor exercise, collecting a score of 9.725. She also earned marks of 9.425 on the uneven bars, 9.350 on the vault and 8.975 on the balance beam. Rogers posted the best finish of the night, placing 23rd with a score of 9.725. Her other all-around scores included a 9.750 on the floor exercise, 9.425 on the uneven bars and 7.900 on the balance beam.
Air Force regroups next weekend (April 18-19) for the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Shreveport, La.
