WOODLAND, Calif. - Three members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Academic All-Conference team, the league commissioner announced this morning (April 16). Seniors Katie Donnell and Kelly Lewis joined junior Abigail Rogers as the Falcons' representatives to the squad.
Donnell is making her third straight appearance on the all-academic list, while Lewis and Rogers are both making their second. Rogers paced the Falcons with a 3.70 grade-point-average - a mark that is the third-highest GPA in the league. Lewis holds a 3.37 GPA, while Donnell rounds out the group with 3.26 average.
To be considered for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must hold a 3.0 or better grade-point-average and be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution prior to the season that the award was received. In addition, the student-athlete must have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
