Artman named AHA Rookie of the Week

USAFA, Colo. - Air Force freshman Eric Artman was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week as he scored two goals in two games against Bemidji State last weekend on opening weekend.
A defenseman from East Lansing, Mich., he scored one goal in each game against the Beavers. His first career goal came in his first career game on Oct. 9 in Bemidji. He added his second career goal on Saturday.
His two goals this season are tied as the fifth most in the nation by any player and are tied as the most by any defenseman. Averaging 1.00 points per game, he is tied for 12th in the nation in points by a defenseman and is tied as the third highest scoring freshman defenseman in the country.
The award is the first AHA honor for Air Force this season.
