This Week * Air Force Falcons (3-5, 3-1 AHA) host Bentley University Falcons (2-3, 2-1 AHA) * Friday-Saturday, Nov. 6-7, 7:05 p.m. each night MST at Cadet Ice Arena (2,470), Air Force Academy

Home Cookin' * Air Force is 2-2 at home this season. * After getting swept by Alabama-Huntsville, Air Force rebounded to sweep RIT * AFA was 16-4 at home last season * Since the Cadet Ice Arena was built in 1968, Air Force has won 60 percent of its games in the building * Since the beginning of the 2007-08 season, AFA has won 73 percent of its home games with a record of 29-9-5
The Coaches * Air Force coach Frank Serratore (Bemidji State, 1982) is in his 13th season as the Falcons' head coach * He has led the Falcons to three straight conference championships and NCAA Tournament berths. * Winningest coach in the history of Air Force hockey with a record of 201-217-32 (13th year at AFA) and a career mark of 250-309-41 (17th year) * Bentley's Ryan Soderquist (Bentley, 2000) has a 88-137-4 school and overall record in his eighth season with the Falcons
Scouting the Bentley Falcons * Bentley is 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the AHA with two close losses to Northeastern and Quinnipiac to open the season * Last weekend, Bentley opened league play by splitting with Mercyhurst, a team picked to finish second * Bentley won 4-2 on Friday and lost 6-2 on Saturday. Both games were played at Bentley * Senior forward Marc Menzione leads the team with four goals and seven points * Sophomore Kyle Rank and junior Joe Calvi have split time in the net. Calvi has started three of the five games and has a 2.69 GAA and a .897 saves percentage. He owns both wins this season.
Rough Starts * Air Force has allowed the first goal in six of the eight games this season and has been outscored, 10-5, in the first * The only games that Air Force scored the first goal, it has won (3-2 overtime win over RIT and 4-1 win at Canisius) * In eight games and 485 minutes of hockey, Air Force has only had the lead for 81 minutes. * In the second game against Canisius last week, Air Force scored the first goal and never trailed in the game. It was the only game this season that Air Force never trailed.
Freshman Production * Four freshmen forwards have seen considerable playing time this season and have been producing. Against RIT, the freshman line of LW Kyle De Laurell, C John Kruse and RW Danny Durham combined to score two goals and 10 assists. The line combined for 13 of the team's 23 points in the series * Kruse is tied for ninth in the nation in points by a freshman, averaging 1.0 points per game. De Laurell is 20th averaging 0.86 points per game * Kruse and De Laurell are tied for third on the team with six points this season. * Stephen Carew and Danny Durham each have three points this season * Two freshmen have also seen time on the blueline. Eric Artman was the AHA Rookie of the Week as he scored two goals in the Bemidji State series. He has played in three games this year. Mike Walsh has played in seven games and has two assists.
