Jenna Dudley Paces Falcons to Victory over Hamline

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Freshman Jenna Dudley won three individual events and the all-around, as the Air Force women's gymnastics team easily defeated Hamline University, 188.725-180.300, on Sunday, March 1, in St. Paul, Minn. Senior Abbey Rogers completed the Falcons' sweep of the event titles, as Air Force improved to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in dual meet action.
Dudley picked up event titles on the uneven bars (9.575), balance beam (9.600) and floor exercise (9.700), en route to the top score in the all-around at 38.400. Dudley added a third-place finish on the vault (9.525) to her combined score. The four first-place finishes are the most in a single meet for the Falcon freshman.
Rogers rounded out the Falcons' sweep of the top spots, with a winning score of 9.625 on the vault.
Highlighted by Dudley's first-place finish, Air Force swept the top four spots on the uneven bars. Rogers tallied a score of 9.550 to place second, while sophomore Brittany Dutton and freshman Samantha Jones finished third (9.525) and fourth (9.450), respectively.
In addition to earning the runner-up spot in the uneven bars, Rogers also finished second on the floor exercise (9.600) and all-around (37.875). Sophomore Lisa Wong and freshman Katie Shetley tied for the runner-up spot on the balance beam, with matching scores of 9.400. The score is a career-best for Shetley, who joined the beam rotation one meet earlier.
Air Force also added several other finishes within the top-half of the field. Jones and Dutton tied for fourth on the vault (9.500), while Dutton also picked up a fourth-place finish on the balance beam with a score of 9.300. Junior Aftan Boudreaux rounded out the top-six finishes with a fifth-place score of 9.425 on the floor exercise.
The Falcons are off from competition until Saturday, March 14, when they travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for a dual meet with Southeast Missouri State.
