Abbey Rogers Claims Three Conference Titles

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior Abbey Rogers collected three conference titles, as the women's gymnastics team hosted an exciting night of action at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Friday, March 20. Rogers, the Falcons' first-ever MPSF champion, claimed event titles on the balance beam, floor exercise and all-around.
Rogers tallied a career-high 9.850 to win the balance beam, while nearly matching her personal bests with first-place scores on the floor exercise (9.850) and all-around (38.900). Rogers, who tied for 10th on the vault (9.650) and seventh on the uneven bars (9.575), shined in her final two events, en route to the all-around title.
Several other Falcons received hardware from the MPSF, as top-three finishers at the championships.
Junior Kayla Kincade shattered her personal-best total on the balance beam to finish second with a score of 9.825, providing Air Force a one-two punch on the event podium. Junior Aftan Boudreaux tied for second on the uneven bars with a score of 9.725, while freshman Katie Shetley tallied a career-high 9.775 to place third on the vault.
Freshman Jenna Dudley, who finished fourth in the all-around (38.450), picked up a pair of eighth-place scores on the balance beam (9.700) and floor exercise (9.725-tie), while sophomore Lisa Wong matched her career-best total on the balance beam at 9.650 to tie for 11th.
Highlighted by a season-best 48.050 on the balance beam, Air Force tallied its highest team score of the year at 191.050 to finish fourth. It was a tight race for the team title, as just 1.775 points separated the first from fourth-place teams. Alaska Anchorage won its first conference title with a score of 192.850.
