NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Abbey Rogers was named to the USA Gymnastics All-Academic Team, the division announced on Wednesday, April 8, during the championship banquet prior to the start of the annual USAG Championships. It is the third straight year that Rogers has been named to the division's all-academic team.
It was the second academic honor of the day for the Pittsburgh, Pa., native, who was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-academic team this morning. Rogers holds a 3.78 cumulative grade-point-average in behavioral sciences, while winning three MPSF titles and repeating as the conference's top gymnast.
To be eligible for the USAG All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher and compete in at least 50-percent of the team's competition.
