Air Force Duo Named to MPSF All-Academic Team

WOODLAND, Calif. - Two members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team, the league commissioner announced on Wednesday, April 8. Senior Abbey Rogers and sophomore Lisa Wong represented the Academy on the conference list.
Rogers is making her third straight appearance on the all-academic squad, becoming just the third Air Force gymnast to claim the honor in every year of eligibility (freshmen are not eligible for the academic honor). With a 3.78 grade point average, Rogers has the second highest GPA in the league and the highest of an upperclassman.
Rogers joins Diane Godar (2003-05) and Katie Donnell (2006-08) as the program's three-time academic all-league selections.
Wong is making her debut on the all-academic squad with a 3.08 GPA.
To be considered for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes much hold a 3.0 or better GPA and be at least a sophomore with on full academic year completed at the institution prior to the season that the award was received. In addition, the student-athlete must have competed in 50-percent or mor of the institution's competitions.
