Air Force hockey names 2010-11 team captains

U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. - Seniors Jacques Lamoureux and Derrick Burnett and juniors Scott Mathis and Paul Weisgarber were voted by their teammates as the team captains for the 2010-11 season. Lamoureux and Mathis will wear the "C" while Burnett and Weisgarber will wear the "A".
Lamoureux was an assistant captain last season. A forward from Grand Forks, N.D., Lamoureux played in all 37 games last season and led the team with 22 goals and 42 points. Lamoureux was a two-time first-team all-conference selection and was a 2009 All-American.
Mathis played in all 37 games last season and had 14 assists and 16 points. A defenseman from Crystal Lake, Ill., Mathis was an AHA all-rookie team selection as a freshman and was also named to the AHA all-tournament team.
Burnett played in all 37 games last season. The forward from Corona, Calif., led the team with 23 assists and was second on the team with 33 points last season.
Weisgarber has played in all 79 games the last two years and has scored six goals and six assists in each of the two seasons. The forward from Fargo, N.D., led the team with two short-handed goals last season.
